In the peaceful countryside of Lamentin, at the centre of Guadeloupe’s butterfly-shaped island, Green Lord Domaine brings together three independent lodges, a 3,000 sqm tropical garden, a saltwater pool and Le Gild’s, Cheffe Gilda’s Table.
Here, a stay takes on another rhythm: slower, more sensitive, more personal. Around the Habitation, nature immediately sets the tone: Creole savannah, the scent of local flowers, birdsong, water and the tropical garden compose a living landscape, both transporting and soothing.
Guests come here to pause, listen to nature, taste Guadeloupe differently, explore the island, and rediscover what makes a place truly rare: a presence, an attention, a soul.
Our story
This Maison has been part of Gilda's life for nearly thirty years. She made it what she had always wanted to offer: "an intimate place, where our guests feel at home, in a setting of natural greenery".
She designed everything — the lodges, the garden, the art of receiving — and gave the Table its place within the Maison. At Le Gild’s, she celebrates the lesser-known treasures of the Creole terroir, from grande-gueule fish to wild herbs too often mistaken for weeds.
Together with Jean-Marc, she welcomes each guest as a guest of the Maison.
An Italian guest once wrote that the Domaine was "a place of the soul". It is her phrase, and every day we try to live up to those words.

After the story of the Maison, the Domaine reveals itself through the way each stay takes shape: a lodge where you can reclaim your own space, Cheffe Gilda’s cuisine to savour at Le Gild’s or, on request, in the intimacy of your lodge, Guadeloupe to explore from Lamentin, and then the pleasure of returning to the calm of the Habitation.

Savour Cheffe Gilda’s cuisine
At Le Gild’s, Cheffe Gilda creates a Creole cuisine open to the world, inspired by local produce, spices, the market and the moment. This cuisine can also be experienced in the intimacy of your lodge, on request, as a personalised gesture shaped around the rhythm of your stay.
Explore the island from the Domaine
From the peaceful countryside of Lamentin, Green Lord Domaine becomes a rare anchor point for experiencing Guadeloupe differently: inner roads, markets, waterfalls, beaches, islands, carefully chosen addresses, and then a return to the Maison.
Le Gild’s, Cheffe Gilda’s Table
At Le Gild’s, Cheffe Gilda gives Guadeloupe a personal, generous expression, open to the world.
Trained at École Ducasse, she creates cuisine inspired by Creole heritage, local produce, the morning catch, local agriculture, spices and the sometimes-forgotten treasures of the terroir.
Each plate tells a way of receiving: precise, sensitive, deeply attached to the Maison.
Two Saturdays a month, Le Gild’s opens its intimate table, in a small and private setting.
For those who love to understand as much as to taste, Creole cooking workshops extend this desire for transmission.

Discover Guadeloupe from the Domaine
Located in the peaceful countryside of Lamentin, at the centre of Guadeloupe’s butterfly-shaped island, Green Lord Domaine is a rare anchor point from which to explore the island.
From the Habitation, days can open towards the beaches of North Basse-Terre, waterfalls, the tropical forest, the warm waters of Ravine Chaude, the Cousteau Reserve, markets, inner roads and the piers to Les Saintes or Marie-Galante.
Then comes the return to the Maison: the garden, the saltwater pool, the calm of the Habitation, and that precious feeling of coming back to a place of your own after exploring the island.
